As a community led social enterprise, we welcome volunteer involvement at all levels. We believe that involving volunteers is a fantastic way to ensure that we are delivering what the community needs whilst also supporting individual growth opportunities for all. Together, we are forming a stronger, more inclusive and richer community for all. We continue to develop volunteering within the community to ensure we are able to leave a legacy of sustainable, meaningful, and purposeful community impact. Volunteer Registration Growing Skills - Progression Programme Outside Lives are delighted to have been awarded funding from the LD Transformation Service and Volunteering Wales Grant Award which will see us officially launch our 'Growing Skills, Progression Programme'. Focused on developing the skills of our volunteers, the programme is designed to guide people through several exciting phases, from discovery and journey mapping, to co producing bespoke experiences, with each step tailored to developing and supporting our volunteer's personal goals and visions for the future! - Lucy Powell, Founder Kate, Outside Lives’ Volunteer Support Buddy explains: “Our new ‘Progression Programme’ will be used for any OL volunteers who want to develop and learn new skills in line with their specific interests and aims. We welcome people from all walks of life to volunteer with us and through this programme we hope to be able to support people with exciting opportunities that will support not only their long term growth as a volunteer, but provide other practical and useful skills too!” Interested in the new programme? Outside Lives' ‘Growing Skills Progression Programme’ has 4 key phases: 1) Discovery - Getting to know each other. We tell you about volunteering with us and we learn about you as a person 2) Journey Mapping - We talk about the benefits of volunteering, we set some goals and make a plan! 3) Getting Started - We’ll source and suggest different opportunities that might interest you, and explore any training needed to develop your skills 4) Staying on track - We keep in touch to make sure everything is on track and you are enjoying your time volunteering with us. We celebrate your achievements and help you set new goals to aid continued development where this is desired Your Support Buddy will walk you through each phase of the programme, and provide support throughout the process, they’ll also keep a record of your achievements, learnings and personal growth.
