We needed a couple of volunteers to help us put up our new polytunnel in our Community Garden and in the boiling July heat, they came along and helped us achieve this, a great effort by everyone!!

Moving forward, this space will allow us to grow more wonderful fruit and veggies on site, which will in turn, create lots of future volunteer roles!

          

          

A great day on site, BIG thanks to some brilliant volunteers Tim Powell and Jon Bowyer who toiled all day in the hot July sun, we now have our Polytunnel on site in the community garden, and what a beauty she is!!

There's still a little bit to do on the inside, but this is HUGE PROGRESS and will mean that we have an accessible space for people of all abilities to use it and enjoy growing and helping in the garden.

Now we need to plan what to grow... and get some volunteers in to help us make it happen! Who's in?

Activity Description:

Help us put up the new polytunnel at Outside Live HQ. At the moment it is in a flat pack, so we need someone who's also good with the instructions!

Number of roles:

Two people are needed - to help with construction (two full days)

Different Roles and skills needed:

Someone energetic who is able to help with the hard work... and perhaps some hole digging too!
Someone to read the instructions, make the brews and help us tidy up

One off or continuing:

This is a ONE OFF event

Date of volunteering:

Help is needed on both Sunday 18th and Monday 19th July

Time:

9am until 4pm both days.

If you'd like to get involved but can't commit to two full days we'd still like to hear from you... even if you could manage just half a day that would be great.

What you need to bring:

• Gloves and walking boots
• Waterproofs
• Packed lunch (hot drinks and snacks will be provided)
• Refillable water bottle
